The 8th Annual Walk 'n' Roll was held on
April 30 to May 2, 2016 in communities across Canada!
People with physical disabilities were stepping up and stepping out for themselves and their communities. We are glad that you could be a part of it!
Walk ‘n’ Roll, an annual fundraiser held across Ontario by March of Dimes Canada, allows people with physical disabilities to get active and out in their communities, support vital programs that assist themselves and many others, and improve their own health and fitness as a bonus.
From April 30 to May 2, 2016, volunteers and participants from March of Dimes Canada stroke, polio, and acquired brain injury support groups, and residents of our supportive living homes, walked or rolled through a designated course in a local shopping mall to raise awareness about our programs and services. Funds raised through pledges from friends, family, neighbours, and coworkers will support their March of Dimes Canada programs that help them live independently in their homes and local communities.
In Ontario, Walk 'n' Roll events were held in Burlington, Cambridge, Guelph /Wellington, Halton, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, Peel Halton, Niagara, North Bay, Sudbury and Waterloo. We are always looking for new communities to be part of this great cause and support their community, so if you would like to participate next year, please contact us.
