International Comparisons

Progress by Countries to Date: 
Countries that have signed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities are therefore obligated (Under article 4) to work towards creating appropriate legislation that will remove barriers and allow all people with disabilities to access their human rights. 

The chart linked below outlines what countries have so far been successful in creating national disability strategies or plans which ensures that they are taking steps to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities.
