FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kate Linder’s OpportuniTea and March of Dimes Canada (MODC) will celebrate a decade of impact for Canadians with disabilities at their 10th and final Tea together on Sunday, June 4, at Toronto’s Beanfield Center, where guests will be the first to hear Linder’s exclusive announcement of preliminary details for future Kate Linder & Friends Teas with her castmates. Tickets are
available here. The event will feature The Young and the Restless stars Kate Linder, Christian LeBlanc, Cait Fairbanks, Camryn Grimes, Bryton James, and Brytni Sarpy, along with Global Morning Show host Carolyn Mackenzie.
“I’m so proud of OpportuniTea and the important contributions we’ve made toward MODC’s work, especially the Conductive Education program, where I have seen the difference and progress of the participants through the years,” says Kate Linder. “I’m excited that Kate Linder & Friends Teas will continue giving back with new charity partners, but this truly is the end of a personally cherished era.”
Guests will enjoy a star-studded High Tea in support of MODC’s
Conductive Education program, which enables children with neurological motor disorders like cerebral palsy to become more confident and independent through movement and play. As MODC’s National Spokesperson for Conductive Education since 2012, Kate has raised vital funds and awareness for this remarkable program. Everyone at MODC is deeply grateful for Kate’s unwavering dedication to creating opportunities for children with disabilities to thrive.
“Kate understands how Conductive Education helps children with disabilities overcome challenges in their daily lives, all while learning skills, making new friends, and having fun,” says Len Baker, President and CEO at March of Dimes Canada. “She’s seen how they learn to be more independent at home and in their communities — and what that has meant for the children, their parents, and caregivers. Kate, along with her co-stars, have helped us change the lives of so many children, and we can’t thank her and her castmates enough.”
