Brain Injury Services

Brain Injury - cupped hand and butterfly
March of Dimes Canada’s Brain Injury Services provides experienced and flexible care for people dealing with the effects of brain injury. We offer rehabilitation and social support services.

Our aim is to help you regain your purpose and become as independent as possible.

Your care team.

We will set you up with a team of highly skilled professionals, depending on your needs. This might include case managers, physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, family doctors, etc.

Client Bill of Rights
The Bill of Rights consists of a set of fundamental principles governing the treatment of individuals receiving services in the Home and Community Care services sector. Adapted from Ontario’s Ministry of Health legislation known as the Connecting Care Act, it serves as a guideline for ethical conduct.

Your program.

Your care team will create a program tailored just for you and we will help you follow it. Your program will address all the aspects of independence, including any cognitive, emotional, social, physical, spiritual and behavioural issues you have.

Your living requirements.

We offer several models of support for daily living, which include a combination of rehabilitation and/or personal care services. This can be provided in your home. Alternatively, if you need it, March of Dimes Canada can set you up to live independently – either in a group home (called “congregate living”, where you have your private bedroom, but share common spaces with your “room mates”) or in a supported apartment complex.

Why March of Dimes Canada?

We are one of the largest national organizations for people living with disability in Canada, which means we understand what you are going through. Our established relationships with community agencies, service providers and case managers provide you with the resources you’ll need to reach your greatest potential.
