The Warehouse Project is a fun and engaging local program that provides a
safe, accessible, non-judgmental environment for individuals living with disabilities.
We offer daily in-person
activities and
workshops in three areas:

Skills development (e.g. budgeting, health and wellness, nutrition, goal setting)

Pre-employment skills (e.g. resumes, interviews, determining employment/volunteer interests)

Recreation – activities and community engagement outings (e.g. arts, crafts, bowling, gardening, parks, museum, themed events)
The Warehouse Project also offers:

A resource centre/workspace with computer access:
- For individuals who do not have access at home
- Participants use the computers to search for employment, housing, community services, and to complete online applications and employment training.

One-to-one interactions with staff:
- Staff meet with individuals via informal interviews, social conversations, recreational/leisure activities, one-on-one ongoing conversations
- Participants contribute their thoughts and ideas for planning program activities, topics for community presentations and community visits.

Volunteer opportunities for community service providers and corporate employees:
- Volunteers engage in programming, helping to build community awareness and enrich the experience for participants.

A Day at Gammondale Farms
Warehouse participants enjoyed a variety of Autumn activities at Gammondale Farm including hay rides, corn field maze, horse rides and games near the pumpkin patch. Everyone enjoyed lunch in the lodge, shared stories of what they enjoyed doing and then back outside for some more farm fun!

Community BBQ

With the generous support of BMO Wealth Management, Sun Life Financial and local donors, The Warehouse Project hosted a community BBQ in the MODC garden. This community awareness and neighbourhood BBQ served over 200 meals to MODC
clients and the many visitors to the event.

Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park
Warehouse participants spent the day at Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park where they hiked through the many accessible trails and lookout spots around the Kakabeka Falls.
