We are pleased to announce that March of Dimes Canada will begin providing services previously offered by the Canadian Red Cross services in Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa.

As of April 1, our Community Support Services program will provide:

In Wawa: High Risk Senior’s Assisted Living, Home Help, Adult Day Program and Low Acuity Personal Support Services.

In Sault Ste. Marie: Neighbourhood Model, High Risk Seniors Assisted Living, Home Help, and Low Acuity Personal Support Services.

In Sudbury: High Risk Senior’s Assisted Living, Home Help, and Low Acuity Personal Support Services

This is an exciting opportunity to expand our services in Northeastern Ontario and to support more people in their homes and communities.

“Having similar services in the Northeast, and a history of successful service transfers, means that March of Dimes Canada is well-placed to implement these expansions.” says Deanna Chisholm-Tullio, March of Dimes Canada’s Regional Director in Northeastern Ontario.

“We worked closely with our partners at Canadian Red Cross and Ontario Health North  to make this transition as smooth as possible,” she added.

These services represent $3 million in funding which March of Dimes Canada will use to welcome 250 new clients and more than 50 new staff members.
