At March of Dimes Canada, we help our clients, and their families access the resources they need to thrive at home and in their communities. In addition to our in-person programming, we’re pleased to offer a variety of online options for individuals to access from wherever they reside.

Do I need to register? 

Yes, all our online programs require registration. After you register, one of our team members will send you the login instructions so you can access the online programs you need.

What platform do you use? 

Our online programs are hosted on Zoom. Find instructions below on how to connect: 

 
If you need more assistance, you can also reach out to our Hi, Tech! team. A volunteer tech coach will answer your questions, get you connected, and help you practice your new skills.  

Are they self-directed or do I follow a specific schedule?  

This depends on the program or resource. There are programs that you need to join live, as well as recorded sessions that you can access at your own pace. 

Do you have online programs for children and youth? 

Yes, we do. Our online Conductive Education program teaches children, teens and young adults with neurological motor conditions (e.g. cerebral palsy, spina bifida, pediatric stroke) to move and engage with the world around them, while promoting independence, mobility and confidence.  

Our LIFE program offers support to young adults living with disabilities, by providing them with an opportunity to learn the skills needed for transition to adulthood. The program is offered both in person or virtually. 

The TELUS Tech for Good Program™ offers customized recommendations, training and support on mobile devices and related assistive technology for applicants of all ages.

Also, the HIVE is an online social program where people with disabilities can connect for conversation and fun games! The program is offered for two age groups: 16 to 25 years old.

Do you have online programs for stroke survivors? 

Yes in fact, you’ll find online programs that are relevant to stroke survivors in every program category. We also offer support for caregivers.

You may also be interested in After Stroke, a personalized stroke recovery program that helps survivors and their families navigate the path forward after a stroke. Find out more on the After Stroke website or contact us to set up an appointment over the phone or online using Zoom with one of our After Stroke Coordinators.
