Hi,

I had Polio in 1953. I was 6 yrs old and missed the fall year of grade 1. I couldn’t walk, I remember Dr. Coden coming to the house and giving me leg exercises. Also going (exercises) in water at the hospital. My parents are both passed away so I can’t ask them about it! I remember my Grandma Mary Hill, also looking after me at her house.

In 1954, I could walk run, skip and went to Gr. 1. I’m now almost 60 yrs old.
