The Opportunity

The national virtual peer support groups help stroke survivors and caregivers to manage the challenges of life after experiencing a stroke. These safe and welcoming online communities provide opportunities for individuals to meet others who are going through similar experiences. The group provides an opportunity for people to share personal experiences and coping strategies, and to build confidence on their journey to recovery and wellbeing. For many people, a health-related support group may fill a gap between medical treatment and the need for emotional support.
