About the annual nomination process
  • January – March: The 2025 application period is January 1 – March 1, 2025.  
  • March 1, 2025: Application deadline for 2025-2026 nomination period
  • March 11 – April 30: Applications are reviewed by the Nominating Committee.
  • May: Recommendation from the Nominating Committee to the Board.  Recommendations are based on criteria including core qualifications, sector understanding, competencies required, and diversity of the Board and its Committees at the time.
  • July: New appointments to the Board and Committees are confirmed at the MODC Annual General Meeting in July.  Successful candidates will be enrolled in MODC’s orientation program for new Board and Committee Members to be held in September.

About Applications

The application is your opportunity to share with the MODC Nominating Committee why you are a strong candidate for the MODC Board or one of its Committees. Your responses should demonstrate your qualifications and experience within the context of the MODC mission. To be considered, the entire application form must be completed. The information provided in this application is confidential and will only be used for the purposes of assessing an applicant’s qualifications.

  • Prepare a personal bio (150 words)
  • Draft a list of current commitments to private or public sector boards and committees (250 words)
  • Compose your statement of interest (250 words)
  • Prepare your most current resume
