York University and Seneca College offers Attendant Services for students living in residence as well as those who commute daily to campus, at their 4700 Keele St. Campus.
In order to maximize your independence and empower your academic participation, York University and Seneca College provides flexible assistance with daily living to support you on campus. Activities can include:
- personal care (toileting, bathing, and dressing)
- meal preparation and feeding assistance
- housekeeping and laundry
- setup support before and after class
- shopping on campus
Eligibility
To be eligible for service, students must:
- Have a permanent physical disability
- Require assistance with personal care or activities of daily living
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Be a resident of Ontario
- Have a valid health card
- Be able to direct your own care
- Not be in receipt of insurance funds

To apply to this program, please complete the
Attendant Services Application Centre (ASAC) Centre for Independent Living, Toronto & York Region Application (PDF) by downloading and filling out the application, then sending it to ASAC either by email or mail (Details can be found on the application). The Attendant Care program is currently only available for those living in residence or commuting to York University's Keele campus. For those needing support at the York University's Glendon or Markham campuses, please select the "Attendant Outreach Service" option for the correct location (Toronto for Glendon, and York Region for Markham).

March of Dimes Canada Fee-for-Service Supportive Housing Program
In conjunction with York University Housing and Disabilities Services, March of Dimes Canada offers a supportive housing program at York University on a fee-for-service basis.
This program provides any person living with a disability, to live as independently as possible during his or her higher educational experience.
March of Dimes Canada staff can provide 24-hour care for students living in the supportive housing program. Attendants provide assistance with daily living skills in a variety of locations, including the individual’s home, hospital, workplace and school.
