The federal Throne Speech includes new benefits and programs for Canadians living with disabilities that could move us towards a more accessible, inclusive country. March of Dimes Canada fully supports these measures and applauds the government for including them.
If these supports are going to provide true economic sustainability, though, they must not be clawed back by provincial disability support programs. The lack of support for charities that provide vital services is also a missed opportunity.
