Ontario Election 2025

Ontario’s provincial election is now underway! The February 27 general election is a key opportunity to be heard by candidates and leaders.
Let’s tell all parties, leaders, and candidates they need to commit to building an Ontario where people with disabilities can thrive. Together we can ask them to commit to financial security, independence, and connection for Ontarians with disabilities of all ages.
Guarantee the CDB!

We call on the Government of Canada to finalize the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) regulations by March 7 to “Guarantee the CDB” will be paid out as promised on July 1, 2025.
Finalizing the regulations is the last step in getting the CDB across the finish line. We know it’s not perfect but if the CDB regulations aren’t finalized before a federal election is called, we're at risk of further delaying the start of this urgently needed national disability benefit!
No Clawbacks from the Canada Disability Benefit

The Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) is intended to help people with disabilities. Tell your provincial or territorial representative to change social assistance regulations to prevent the CDB from clawing back social assistance.
Seven provinces and territories (Saskatchewan, Nunavut, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Quebec and British Columbia) have committed to no clawbacks. If your province or territory is listed below, you can participate in this campaign, developed by
Maytree and
March of Dimes Canada, to advocate and engage with government decision-makers to prevent clawbacks related to the new CDB in your province or territory.
